Welcome to The Playhouse! Dr. Phillip's Premiere one-stop shop for all your summer camp needs. With our new performing arts theater space and studio in The Dr. Phillip’s Marketplace, we couldn’t be more convenient and affordable. Drop-off and pick-up is easy from the heart of Dr. Phillips.  All of the Teaching Artists here at Theatre South Playhouse are professional performers with either a BFA or a Masters in Theater, Dance, Musical Theater and Theater Education. Come learn from the best!

Basic Info:

  • All of our camps are limited to 25 campers and will sell out quickly - register today!

  • There is a one-time summer registration fee of $25 

  • All campers must provide their own lunches and snacks

  • Snacks can also be purchased for $1 every day

  • All campers must bring their own (labeled) water bottle, and wear closed-toe shoes

  • No refunds will be issued for camp.

Before and after care is available all summer long!

Pre-care morning warm-up (8:00-9:00am): $50/week
After "Encore" care (2:00-5:30pm): $70/week

The Greatest Show Camp (Grades K-5 & Grades 5-12)

Week 1: June 3-7 (9am-2pm)

“This is the Greatest Camp!” Join us as we sing and dance our way through The Greatest Showman soundtrack.  A one-week of intensive vocal study and choreography workshops from the hit movie with a final performance on Friday at 2pm and 3pm. 

*5th graders will be put into the best group that fits each performer.

Summer Stock- Full Production Camp Rock of Ages
4th-9th Graders

MIddle School Edition

Weeks 2-5:  June 10-30 (9am-4pm)

This hit show has been adapted by the author to create a version ready for students. The unforgettable rock anthems have been adjusted for younger voices and the subject matter has been adjusted for appropriateness. Introduce your kids (and re-introduce the parents) to the face-melting guitar anthems of the 1980's in this hit Broadway musical.

 

*This is a full 3 week long production camp with a final weekend of 4 public performances.

Teens of all ages

Week 2: June 10-14 (9am-2pm) 

Join us for a week-long study of the music and choreography from two hit Broadway musicals. Taught and choreographed by some of Orlando’s greatest teaching artists. Join us for a week of auditions, workshops and rehearsals, followed by our final performance on Friday at 2pm.

Camp etiquette Royal Charm training (Grades K-3)

Week 3: June 17-21 (9am-2pm)

Once upon a time, there was a magical etiquette theatre camp completely devoted to all things royal!  Workshops include etiquette training, manners, princess and prince singing and dancing, Royal makeovers, and Castle Kindness 101.  All Princesses and Princes are encouraged to dress in royal attire daily. Please attend our very proper Royal Showing at 2pm on Friday.

Greatest SHow Camp

Grades 2-10th

Week 4: June 24-30 (9am-2pm)

Get ready for some W.I.C.K.E.D. fun while we pay tribute to the music from 3 “descending” hit movies.   A one-week intensive vocal and dance training workshop with a final performance on Friday at 2pm. Let’s get rotten to the core! No camp July 4.

And They Lived Happily Ever After. Well..Not Exactly.

Come join us for the hit Off-Broadway Musical Comedy that is taking the world by storm. Join us as we follow the stories of all of your favorite fairytale heroines as they explore life after "wedded bliss". From it's sold out run here at The Orlando Fringe Festival (With TSP'S own Hillary Brook as "The Little Mermaid") to it's sold-out Off-Broadway run in NYC, this award winning show is playing across the globe! Come join the celebration of womanhood, Princesses unite!

*Auditions will be held on Saturday June 8th (with possible additional callbacks on Sunday morning the 9th if needed).

This is a full production with 4 public performances.
