Theatre South Playhouse - Admin Position Job Description

The Organization:

Theatre South Playhouse’s mission is to nurture, challenge, educate, and empower our artists and audiences, in order to inspire our Southwest Orlando community. Theatre South Playhouse is a professional theater, an academic conservatory and a community center for children, and adults to learn their craft through participation in classes, workshops and productions. We are a group of diverse artists dedicated to helping shape this community and teaching the values of mutual respect for all.


Open Position - Office Administrator:

Theatre South Playhouse is looking for a highly organized and friendly office administrator. The Office Manager will be working closely with our Executive Director to help run all aspects of the Theatre Company and Conservatory.




Monday-Thurs 10-6pm

Friday 10-4pm


Daily Tasks:

  • Run and control TSP Class registrations-all aspects

  • Receive and respond to all TSP emails and phone calls

  • Tracking donations and sending TSP thank you/IRS letters

  • Manage the staff (5-15), organize teaching artist's schedules, keep track of subs, create and update new semester contracts for all our independent contractors.

  • Act as the Private Lesson Coordinator. Communicate with and schedule clients for lessons, and manage appointments using our Private Lessons software, Acuity Scheduling

  • Assist with grant research, writing, and submitting of grant proposals

  • Meet and greet clients at the front desk and give tours to prospective clients as needed

  • Assist TSP school facilitators when needed (printing, problem solving)

  • Supervise youth students registered in our aftercare program 3:00-5:15pm

  • Find teen interns and volunteers  for more hands on deck for community service hours.

  • Keep TSP organized

  • Assist and manage sales for TSP Conservatory (school), shows, and classes

  • Maintain COVID-19 safety standards in our Theater and Studio Side spaces

  • Maintain social media accounts and create daily posts and stories on social media  

  • Clean up at the end of shift-take out needed garbage etc.




  • Strong communication and problem solving skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Business degree also accepted.

  • Experience with Google Drive and Google Apps including Google Sheets, Google Docs

  • Need to have the ability to learn new apps and software quickly, including Acuity Scheduling, Dance Studio Manager, Wix, and Canva

  • Must have the ability to multitask



Pay based on experience ($13/hr and up). Admin is an hourly position, once trained and trial period this will become a salaried position.  We do not offer health insurance at this time.
