AUDITIONS
Now casting actors and actresses (ages 15 and up) that can portray teens and adults for the Theatre South Playhouse Summer Stock Season! You may audition for both shows or one of the shows. Show information below.
Seeking actors of all ethnicities and racial backgrounds, all sexual orientations and gender identities, and all body types. *This is not a re-block of the original productions. Anything goes! College students are encouraged to audition!

"RIDE THE CYCLONE - High School Edition"

In this hilarious and outlandish story, the lives of six teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir are cut short in a freak accident aboard a roller coaster. When they awake in limbo, a mechanical fortune teller invites each to tell a story to win a prize like no other — the chance to return to life. This popular musical is a funny, moving look at what makes a life well-lived!
***This show will be double cast and each cast will get an equal amount of performances.***
***To allow for more people to participate we will be adding 2-4 ensemble members to the cast***
***Due to the show size, not everyone may be cast. In the event that you are not cast you will be refunded in full.***
Video submissions are due by March 15th.
Please upload your Picture/Resume and a short video containing:
1) An intro letting us know your name, age, pronouns, what show(s) you are auditioning for, and your favorite scary movie.
2) A 32 bar cut of a song in the style of the show.*We suggest singing something from the show(s). Yes, you can ACTUALLY sing a song from the show. What? Yup. Only if you want to. If you do sing something from the show, be sure to do the second half of the song ... ya know, where the high notes are.
3) A one minute comedic monologue of your choice.
Callbacks will be held on Sunday, April 7th at 10am. There will be a MANDATORY dance call starting PROMPTLY at 10am. *Please dress appropriately in clothes you can move in and please wear jazz shoes or sneakers. You will have time to change afterward if you prefer to.
Callbacks for individual roles will be held following the dance call.

Mon. - Fri. June 3rd - June 7th, June 10th - June 14th, June 17th - 21st
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Performances:
Friday, June 21st - 7 PM
Saturday, June 22nd - 2 PM & 7 PM
Sunday, June 23rd - 2 PM (Potential 7 PM)
*This is part of our professional training program and a producers fee is involved. Registration is required to hold your audition time slot. Please register HERE
Registration for this full Summer Stock Production is: 3 payments of $275. $275will be charged at the time of registration and the second and third payments will be automatically scheduled for May 1st and June 1st.
A limited number of scholarships are available for those in financial need through our Acts Of Love and Kindness Scholarship fund for those who qualify.

Carrie White is a teenage outcast who longs to fit in. At school, she’s bullied by the popular crowd, and virtually invisible to everyone else. At home, she's dominated by her loving but cruelly controlling mother. What none of them know is that Carrie’s just discovered she’s got a special power, and if pushed too far, she’s not afraid to use it.
