Theatre South Playhouse located in Dr. Phillips, Orlando is seeking a

Part-Time Social Media and Marketing Coordinator for our upcoming season.

Job Summary:

The Social Media & Marketing Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Executive Director, Business Manager, and Creative Teams to develop engaging content and support marketing initiatives for Theatre South Playhouse productions, the Academy School, general programs, and special events. This role blends creativity, strategy, and community engagement to help amplify our mission and grow our reach.

 

Responsibilities:

• Support the development and execution of brand and marketing strategies across all programs and productions.

• Create compelling content for social media platforms to promote shows, events, and community initiatives.

• Manage and maintain a social media calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting.

• Develop and implement social media campaigns that increase awareness, engagement, and attendance.

• Create weekly mailers to our patrons and families via Mailchimp.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure messaging and visuals align with the theatre’s brand and mission.

 

Basic Qualifications:

• Proficiency with major social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

• Demonstrated experience creating content and managing a social media calendar.

• Ability to design or collaborate on social graphics and visual assets through Canva.

• Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team and build strong partnerships.

• Self-starter with excellent time management and the ability to meet project deadlines independently.

• Basic camera knowledge and video editing skills to create strong reels and trailers for the theatre.

• A genuine passion for theatre and general knowledge of the Orlando performing arts scene.

 

Pay information:

The position offers a monthly flat fee of $800 with a list of weekly expectations, tasks and deliverables.
